Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy, Scoping Meeting
In July 2006, Meridian Institute presented at and participated in discussions at a scoping meeting of OECD Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy. The workshop had the following objectives:
To discuss the "promises and challenges" of nanotechnology based on expert knowledge of this emerging technology area as well as the insights gained through the IRGC conference on nanotechnology.
Based on the above and the presentation of a selection of national government initiatives and policies on nanotechnology, to discuss and identify work that the CSTP should undertake in the near future to support the responsible development and commercialisation of nanotechnology that can enhance economic and social welfare.
