Kristy Buckley, Senior Mediator and Program Manager

Kristy Buckley is a Senior Mediator and Program Manager at Meridian Institute with more than five years of experience in collaborative problem solving, process design and facilitation, and organizational and strategic development. She possesses substantive expertise in the areas of international policy and law; climate change policy and science; agriculture; forestry/REDD+; and resilience and disaster risk reduction.

Prior to her work with Meridian, Ms. Buckley served as the Director of Strategic Development at the Climate Institute in Washington, DC, and as a consultant to several nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Buckley holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the George Washington University and an LL.M. in International Law with International Relations from the University of Kent, Brussels School of International Studies. She is currently pursuing her doctorate research on multi-stakeholder collaborations in climate and land use policy, for a degree in Sustainable Development Diplomacy from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
