Meridian Institute

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad

Between 1999 and 2003, Meridian Institute facilitated several meetings between the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad and its customers. The meetings helped the railroad to improve service for and build stronger relationships with its customers. The processes varied from a series of half-day meetings with a regional focus to large, multi-day events with a nationwide focus. For instance, Meridian ran six, day-long focus groups on customer service and then presented the findings to groups of BNSF employees. Meridian also facilitated customer advisory board meetings, meetings regarding specific business strategies, and meetings between specific company divisions and their customers.
