Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - Brad Spangler

In July 2013, The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread released the latest Charting New Waters report, Catalyzing the Transformation of U.S. Water Infrastructure, which emerged from the rich content explored at an April 2013 convening that brought together a diverse group of experts to focus on the intersection of urban water infrastructure and climate change.
Experts addressed the question: What can water infrastructure contribute to both mitigating climate change and adapting to its impacts?

Catalyzing the Transformation of U.S. Water Infrastructure, details key outcomes and insights from the April 2013 dialogue - in particular, how advances in water infrastructure can help communities address climate change, including promising opportunities to lessen its effects and adapt to its impacts. Also presented are a framework and an initial set of recommended priority activities to advance the transformation of the nation's water infrastructure for the 21st century and beyond.
