Jonathan
Lash has been President of the World Resources Institute
since 1993.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree
from Harvard College and a Master of Arts in Education and
Law Degree from Catholic University. For the past 25 years
he has worked to develop and implement creative solutions
to environmental problems as an advocate, a public official,
a teacher, and a writer.
Mr. Lash serves on the China Council for
International Cooperation on Environment and Development,
the DuPont Biotechnology Advisory Panel, and the Organisation
for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Round Table
on Sustainable Development. He has served as Secretary of
Natural Resources and Commissioner of Environmental Conservation
for the State of Vermont, and as Co-Chair of the President’s
Council on Sustainable Development. He formerly chaired the
National Commission on Superfund, directed the Environmental
Law Center at Vermont Law School, served as Federal Prosecutor
and law professor, and volunteered with the Peace Corps in
the Dominican Republic. Mr. Lash currently serves on the boards
of the Institute for Sustainable Communities, Population Action
International, and the Wallace Global Fund. |
