Sara Suriani joined Meridian Institute as a Project Coordinator in March 2000.
Since joining Meridian, Sara has been actively involved in three major projects, the National Watershed Forum and the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA), and the Joint Ocean Commission Initiative, in addition to numerous other projects. She assisted with the coordination and implementation of the National Watershed Forum, which was a one-time meeting in June 2001 for 400 participants from around the United States. From 2001 to 2005 Ms. Suriani provided logistical support and meeting coordination for the community of MA experts at over 31 core meetings which were held in developing and developed countries throughout the world.
Ms. Suriani has worked in event planning and project coordination for the past 15 years. Prior to joining Meridian, Ms. Suriani held various positions at Keystone Resort, including Events Manager and Catering Sales Manager. She focused on planning and implementation of events ranging from concerts and art shows to meetings and social events.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University.
