Council to Support Water Desalination Plant in Muscat
Summary posted by Meridian on 9/18/2007 The Sultan Qaboos University in Oman has received preliminary approval from the country’s Scientific Research Council to establish a research chair in nanotechnology in water desalination. The article says that approval included the “formation of a national committee, comprising public and private sector institutions, in addition to international experts, that will prepare the project’s executive plan.” The article says that the Council is currently preparing a national scientific strategy for Oman.
