Antimicrobial Nanotech Product Set To Protect Homes In Hurricane Areas
Summary posted by Meridian on 8/14/2007 U.S. company BioQuest Technologies, Inc., has announced that it will develop an application of its nanotechnology-based antimicrobial product BioShield 75 to treat microbial problems arising in homes, businesses, and public facilities due to hurricane damage. BioQuest’s Arne Rotne said: “. . . the use of our BioShield 75, applied as part of a proactive program by our trained crew and continually monitored with our annual healthier environment programs prior to these hurricanes, . . .will greatly reduce the aftermath of bacteria, mold and mildew and offer a better opportunity for these assets to be much better protected. Pre treating homes and businesses can dramatically reduce bacteria, mold and mildew that can create many health issues for all involved.” Rotne also said, “Our research scientists intend on keeping us at the forefront of preventative nanotechnologies applied to the microbial prevention sector enabling us to potentially capture a significant market share while addressing a need in the public hygiene arena.” The article can be viewed online at the link below.
